School of seduction

By JENNIFER PARKS, SUN MEDIA

As I listen to my interview subject spew terminology like "riffing," "vibing," "external game" and "wing-man theory" over the phone, it sounds to me like geek-speak for the latest fantasy video game techniques.

I'm not so far off.

This jargon is part of Docandwriter's curriculum for a course he's offering in Seduction 101.

He says he can turn Class A nerds into chick magnets and make their dreams of sex and love come true.

He doesn't want his real name used -- to protect his identity and those of his students. Seduction science is a multimillion-dollar international movement that is helping men win at the game of love.

Internet sites offering DVDs and courses on how to become a Casanova have been springing up since the mid-'90s.

"Some people just haven't been able to put it together when it comes to meeting and attracting the opposite sex," says Docandwriter, a 31-year-old self-proclaimed "pickup coach" who lives in Vancouver.

For the past year, he has been working with men and women (but mostly men) helping them gain confidence with the opposite sex.

Docandwriter, a 155-pound, five-foot-seven guy with a medium build and dark hair, described himself two years ago as an introverted guy who always ended up as the "nice guy" or "best friend."

"I didn't know how to meet women. When I went to clubs I would stand around like a wallflower. If I did meet someone, I would show way too much interest; that either creeps them out or they start sharing all of their problems with you," says Docandwriter.

Then he learned about seduction pioneer Ross Jeffries's Speed Seduction and met Mystery, a kingpin in the biz, based in Toronto, who helped transform him into a seduction expert.

The seduction techniques he now teaches are based on Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), a branch of psychology developed in the 1970s, which uses conversation tactics and body language to elicit a desired response.

"Counter to what people think, it doesn't take money, power or amazing looks to be successful with women," says Docandwriter.

"Women want guys who are confident and know how to make them feel special."
