JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate for this manager position will be responsible for the day to day running and growing of the company, which includes speaking on the phone, organizing group workshops, tracking sales and events in Vancouver and other cities and coordinating with our coaches, sales manager and marketing manager to market and fill our courses.

This position is part management/administrative/organizational and part sales and marketing (i.e. business development) and we are willing to train the right individual on how to run the company.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS (You…):

• Are fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Have strong attention to detail, are well organized, flexible, have strong people, project and time management skills and are able to focus on the bottom line and meet deadlines.
• Are familiar with the sales funnel, love to sell, by phone, internet, or in person and are a Team Player.
• Are knowledgeable of business practices including sales, marketing, accounting and management.
• Are internet savvy (email, web browser) and can use the MS Office Suite use (MS Word, Excel,…).
• Have interest in the field of personal coaching for self improvement and relationships.
• Have prior project management experience.

RESEARCH:

You will be required to learn about our industry, who the participants are and what has been done in the past. There will be a lot of internet research required with attention to detail and note taking.

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION:

This is a part time contract position, where you determine your own hours (thus you must have initiative) and we’ll be monitoring your progress and results. You must be flexible and available to work after hours and weekends as required, most likely from your home our office at Beatty and Pender, with a high level of autonomy. We are looking for someone who will grow with the company, as this gets busier, this can certainly turn into a full time position.

If you’ve been out in public and in the malls lately, then you’d have noticed that the city is already bustling with activity in preparation for the holidays.

And we (Man Meets Woman) would like to make an announcement about a new bootcamp concept that we’ve never done before in Vancouver.

First, the Backstory

The Man Meets Woman team met last week (we meet regularly) and realized that we were too ambitious with our schedule this winter, as one of us is preparing for a work exam, another is finishing up a marketing course before moving onto our sister company, Happy Sexy You, and I (Ronald Lee) am behind on finishing a number of planned projects for us. Thus we’ve decided to push the next The Art of Attraction 3 Month Program way back to start on February 6th, 2011 so that we have time to make these planned improvements.

(FYI: We’ve been planning a slight rebranding to focus deeper on our direct and natural approach since spring, we’re working on bringing back the weekend bootcamp but in a way that still embodies our pillars of honestly, genuineness and authenticity to attract women, and I’m still working on that members only area for past clients of MMW).

So what we’ve decided to do instead this holidays is…have some fun!

The Month Long Conversation and In-field Bootcamp

Starting immediately, until the middle of January 2011 (January 16th), we are holding the first ever month long bootcamp, where we work with you and a group of your peers to solely focus on the two areas of a) conversation and b) in-field outings.

What will happen is the group will meet at least twice a week, every week, mostly during the day with a few nighttime and event outings. We’ll either be having classroom sessions that will focus on conversation skills or go out to public places to meet women.

Note: We’ll have both conversation class where you’ll learn about conversation and vibing, and conversation practice class, which is also open to the public, where the entire class will practice conversation skills.

Now keep in mind that all we’re going to do is take you out and improve your conversation and cold approaching skills with women. We’d still prefer that you take the more complete and holistic The Art of Attraction 3 Month plus 1 Year program which develops your relationship with yourself first and then teaches you everything you need to really meet and attract women for dating and relationships from an honest, genuine, and authentic place.

By doing the Month Long Conversation and In-Field Bootcamp, you will benefit from our discerning eye and expert feedback and by the end you’ll be much improved in your learning curve to meet women. It may even be all you need to get that breakthrough you are looking for, as vibing is a major component in your initial interaction with women.

Have you ever wondered if matchmaking will work for you?

As we have both a Vancouver Attraction/Dating coaching company for men (Man Meets Woman) and it’s sister company for women (Happy Sexy You), we frequently get asked if we can match our clients up.

While we have, on occasion, done matchmaking for our clients that we know well, that is a difficult task better left to the professionals (I will be happy to refer you to several professional matchmakers), however, we thought we’d do something different this August by offering to match people up.

How this will work is quite simple. If you want to potentially be matched with someone for dating, please send an email back with the answers to these four questions and two clear photos of yourself.

1. What is your birthday and what part of the lower mainland do you live in?
2. How would you describe your relationship experience? Have you ever been married or were you in a recent relationship?
3. What kind of person would you like to date (i.e. who are you looking for?).
4. What is important to you when it comes to dating (i.e. what attracts you to the opposite sex and what do you like to do for fun?).

What we will do is, if there is a match, send an email to introduce the both of you to each other, the week before the Singles Appreciation BBQ and we’ll leave it up to you to take the next steps.

Some guidelines:

• We are offering this on a casual, for fun, basis.

• We cannot guarantee that you will be matched with someone.

Hey there,

I wanted to fire off this email before the start of the Victoria Day long weekend (in BC) and share three news tidbits with you.

1) We’re pushing back the start date of the next The Art of Attraction 3 month coaching program. Not to the week after, but to June 12th. The reason is we’re all working on a number of big projects for you and our commitment to run the course is so great that we aren’t available at least until then.

You’ll hear about what we’re rolling out soon enough, one of which is…

2) The Vancouver Social Board men’s group has been relaunched. We had 11 guys come last Wednesday for the men’s group meeting and another ten who couldn’t make it because of the short notice. Twenty one guys right off the bat is outstanding.

Two things right off the bat about the group

• We’re taking people who want to assume proactive positions and lead the group and
• This is by far not a pick up artist lair.

If you are interested in joining our group, there will be a slight discount, depending on how many people come, or you can sign up for the event individually on their site.

Last week Vancouver speed dating company, Rendezvous Club (RClub for short, www.rclub.ca) held their 4th Annual 100 Dates in 100 Minutes event at Caprice Nightclub.

This is where Rendezvous Club goes all out and has 100 speed dates in one night. No simple task, I assure you. This was the third event of RClub’s that I’ve been to, the second being their previous Flirt Fest (their next one is around the corner! Want to go? Read til the bottom for details).

All in all, the event was very well organized and went smoothly, without a hitch, which explains why Rendezvous Club is Vancouver’s top speed dating company. Here’s a recap of how the night went for us.

I brought 11 guys to the event. We all met at Blenz at Granville and Nelson to hang out (see men’s group post) and socialize before the event. When we got to Caprice, the venue was already nicely setup and half the speed daters where already there.

Everyone immediately broke off and started chatting to the beautiful people there, of which there were many, and after some opening remarks from The Beat 94.5′s Holly Conway, we started.

The way the event was set up, people were put into one of three age groups (which were 18-27 years, 28-34 years, and 35-40 years old), each of which had 33 couples in them. Each “couple” was given 3 minutes to date, after which the guy would move over to the next girl and another date would begin.

There was a long break in the middle of the event and by the time the event wrapped up, it was already 11:30pm and most people booked it out of there as they had to work the next morning.

Results: What Did We Think?

Most of the guys I know who attended received between zero to 3 matches. Given how women screen men at speed dating, even getting 1 match is still very good:

(I do have several studies on speed dating, which I’ll write about in a future post probably).

If women are choosier, then what are the keys to success?

I think today, men just have to be their cool, normal, interesting selves. I did hear from Holly that there were a lot of boring guys and a few weird ones. I was amazed that some guys were still trying to uses Pick Up Artist lines/game as well that night (how many times do I have to tell you guys being a PUA doesn’t work? Future blog post for sure.).

I did ask some of the guys what they thought, and here is what one of them had to say:

In the end, how did *I* do? That’s for me to know, haa. But I will share that the only girl I remember that night was Holly (no offense to my other matches, it’s not too terribly a surprise is it?), a fellow Sagittarian who gave me her phone number at the end. We’ve already made plans for the weekend and she wants to play some game she calls ‘mount’ or something; I’m really looking forward to seeing her, I like her a lot.

All in all, bravo and good job to Chris and Rendezvous Club Vancouver Speed Dating.
